Liberia Flag

The Liberia flag processes all endorsement and CDC requests via an online application system via its registered filing agents. The processing time for all applications can vary between 3-4 weeks and CRA’s can be issued at the time of application upon request since there is a small charge levied by the flag for each CRA, which applicants should be aware of. All requests should be emailed to liberia@tirm.me. 

There are two types of applications that are accepted for Liberia; those for Liberian vessels and those for non-Liberian vessels seeking employment onboard their ships. For Liberian vessels we require an authorization letter from the owner of the Liberian vessel or Technical managers that states the details of the vessel and naming TIRM as authorized to apply on behalf of their vessel. Liberia will confirm the authenticity of the vessel and then allow application to be submitted for these vessels. For non-Liberian vessels an 18 month ungraded Seaman book can be issued.

• Liberian Medical form (see application form page)

• Colour photo

• Valid passport copy

• Certificate of Competency (COC)

• Any supporting STCW certificates and copy of CDC

• Certificate of Competency (COC) (in the case of Watchkeeping holders)

• Any supporting STCW certificates and copy of CDC
